# Pay for LLM APIs with a card or Alipay

> Markdown mirror of https://router.one/wechat-pay-llm-api for AI assistants and crawlers. Router One is an OpenAI-compatible LLM API gateway.

WeChat Pay is not currently supported — every RMB top-up runs through one hosted checkout (card or Alipay); this page compares all three rails, and the Alipay-only walkthrough is the Alipay LLM API page. Router One lets developers in China pay for GPT, Claude, Gemini and 40+ models in RMB: top up with a card or Alipay through one hosted checkout, or with USDT/USDC on six chains (Tron, BSC, Ethereum, Polygon, Base, Arbitrum). No US credit card required, and every top-up lands in one USD wallet billed per token. Direct provider billing usually requires a supported international card or USD billing setup; the gateway removes that step.

## Card

Credit and debit cards on a hosted checkout page. Balance updates as soon as the payment clears.

## Alipay (支付宝)

Chosen on the same hosted checkout after you enter the amount. Pay in RMB from the Alipay app — no foreign card in the loop.

## USDT / USDC (stablecoin)

Tron, BSC, Ethereum, Polygon, Base, and Arbitrum supported. Useful for teams already operating with stablecoin wallets.

## Models you can pay for in RMB

Router One provides OpenAI-compatible access to the major providers: OpenAI (GPT, o-series, Codex), Anthropic (Claude Opus/Sonnet/Haiku), Google (Gemini), xAI (Grok), DeepSeek, Zhipu (GLM), MiniMax. Browse the full model list and per-token pricing.

## How top-up works

- Sign up at router.one — no credit card required to create an account.
- Go to the billing page in the dashboard.
- Enter a top-up amount (minimum $5 USD equivalent).
- Continue to the hosted checkout page.
- Pick card or Alipay there and confirm in your bank app or the Alipay app.
- Balance is credited once the payment clears. Start making API calls immediately.

## Pricing model

Router One supports transparent pay-per-token wallet billing and live subscription plans. Each model's input/output price is shown on the models page. Unused wallet balance never expires.

## FAQ

### Can I pay with WeChat Pay?

WeChat Pay is not currently supported. RMB top-ups run through Alipay on the hosted checkout; the other options are a card on that same checkout, or USDT/USDC on six chains.

### Is there a minimum top-up?

Minimum top-up is $5 USD equivalent for card, Alipay, and stablecoins. You can start with a small amount to test, then top up more as you scale.

### Do I need a Chinese phone number?

A phone number is useful for account verification but not required for payment. Alipay works with any account that has the app installed.

### Can my team share a balance?

Yes. You can create multiple API keys under one account, each with its own budget cap. Billing is aggregated at the account level.

### Is there a markup on top of upstream model prices?

No hidden markup. Pay-as-you-go calls are billed at the per-model rate posted on /models — up to 90% off official prices on select models — and any FX or payment-channel fee is shown at checkout, never inside the token line.

### What happens when my balance reaches zero?

API calls return a 402 status until you top up. Existing requests in flight complete normally. Top-up is instant.
