# Router One Data Retention Facts

- Request and response bodies: not stored — prompt content and model completions pass through in real time and are never persisted to disk or copied to any analytics store
- Streaming: responses are forwarded byte-for-byte; no completion buffer is retained after the connection closes
- Observability metadata window: per-request trace (timestamp, model, fallback chain, token counts, latency, status code, cost) is queryable for 90 days from the request time
- Billing reconciliation window: aggregated billing rows are retained for 13 months so invoices can be audited against usage during the standard accounting period
- After the window: data is purged; the per-request trace returns "not available" for requests older than the window
- Customer-initiated deletion: email support@router.one from the account-owner address with the project ID; execution is confirmed within 7 business days, subject to accounting-law retention on billing rows
- Deletion scope: earlier deletion of project metadata; billing reconciliation rows older than the cutoff may be retained where required by accounting law, stated explicitly when they are
- Sub-processors: once a request leaves the gateway, upstream providers retain data per their own policies; Router One does not hold a copy of the prompt or completion the upstream receives — only the metadata listed above
- Enterprise contracts: can lengthen the observability window, shorten the billing window where law permits, or add programmatic trace export to a customer-owned destination
- Trust boundary: request-level observability and spend control for developers and small teams — not an enterprise audit, compliance, or RBAC system
